Since the 1974, Turkish Invasion of Cyprus, the island has been separated into two authorities; The Republic of Cyprus which is internationally recognised and an EU member state and The Turkish Republic of North Cyprus which is only recognised by Turkey. Tourism has been instrumental to the growth of both economies separately. This report analyses the differences these factors cause on the two tourism industries on the island.
